A full-bodied Ceylon black tea layered with real pumpkin, apple, warming chai spices, and a touch of sweetness for a richer, more spice-forward expression of fall.
The Experience
If you want a pumpkin tea where you can actually see the pumpkin and spices in the blend, start here.
Pumpkin Spice Black Tea builds its autumn character from an unusually layered ingredient list. Ginger, cinnamon, cardamom, black and white pepper, clove, and nutmeg create the warming spice foundation, while pumpkin and apple add softer harvest-fruit notes. Hibiscus and rosehip provide a subtle tart counterpoint, and small candy pieces add sweetness.
Underneath it all is a full-bodied black-tea base, giving this blend considerably more structure than a simple pumpkin-flavored tea. The result is warming, fruity, spicy, and gently sweet—a tea designed for customers who want the full fall-spice experience rather than a subtle hint of pumpkin.

Why You’ll Love It
Choose Pumpkin Spice if you enjoy bold seasonal flavors and want more complexity than pumpkin flavoring alone.
What makes this blend particularly interesting is the interaction between its ingredients. Ginger and pepper provide warmth; cinnamon, cardamom, clove, and nutmeg create classic baking-spice aromatics; pumpkin and apple round the cup; and hibiscus and rosehip prevent all that richness from becoming flat.
It's delicious straight, but its full body and assertive spice also make it an excellent candidate for milk or a tea latte.

How to Brew
Use approximately 1 heaping teaspoon per 8 oz / 237 ml of water at 212°F / 100°C and begin with a 3–4 minute steep, adjusting to taste.
Because this blend contains many ingredients of different sizes, gently mix the tea before measuring so each serving gets a good distribution of tea, fruit, spices, and botanicals. Enjoy it straight first, then experiment with milk. For a latte, use a stronger infusion rather than simply steeping much longer, which can increase the black tea's astringency.
Perfect For
This is a natural companion for crisp fall mornings, Thanksgiving gatherings, fireside afternoons, and pumpkin-spice season. Pair it with pumpkin bread, apple cake, cinnamon rolls, ginger cookies, pecan pastries, maple desserts, or a simple butter cookie.
Pumpkin Spice vs. Pumpkin Hollow Chai
These two Churchill's teas may sound similar, but they're quite different blends.
-
Pumpkin Spice Black Tea is the more ingredient-driven and complex choice. It contains actual pumpkin and apple plus ginger, cinnamon, cardamom, two peppers, clove, nutmeg, hibiscus, and rosehip. Expect a fuller, more textured spice experience.
-
Pumpkin Hollow Chai, by comparison, has a much simpler recipe of Ceylon black tea, safflower petals, and pumpkin spice flavoring. It offers a smoother, more straightforward pumpkin-spice profile and works especially well as an easy tea latte.
Choose Pumpkin Spice if you want to taste layers of real spices and botanicals. Choose Pumpkin Hollow if you want a simpler, smoother pumpkin-spice cup.
What Makes This a “Pumpkin Spice” Tea?
Pumpkin spice is less about one ingredient than a familiar family of warming baking spices. Here, that isn't just a flavor description. The blend actually contains cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, clove, nutmeg, and black and white pepper, along with pumpkin itself.
Those spices don't all perform the same job. Cinnamon and nutmeg provide warm sweetness; ginger and pepper add heat; cardamom contributes aromatic complexity; and clove brings a deeper, lingering spice.
Taste the tea once while it's piping hot and again after it has cooled slightly. You'll often find individual spices easier to distinguish as the temperature changes.
Packaging: Our loose teas are sold by the ounce and packaged in food-grade resealable bags.
