The blend begins with Ceylon black tea, providing the strength and body needed to carry a generous collection of whole spices. But unlike a traditional black-tea chai, this blend also incorporates Zhen Mei green tea, a classic Chinese green tea whose name is often translated as “precious eyebrow,” referring to the distinctive curved shape of its leaves. Together, the black and green teas create a more layered foundation for the spices.

Whole cardamom brings its intensely fragrant character, while cinnamon contributes warm sweetness. Ginger adds lively heat and cloves provide deeper aromatic spice.
