A fragrant organic green tea inspired by the flavors of Thai cuisine, bringing together bright lemongrass, creamy coconut, warming ginger, and soft vanilla for an unusually savory-sweet tropical cup.
The Experience
Bangkok Blend Green Tea takes flavored green tea in a different direction. Rather than relying primarily on fruit or flowers, this blend draws inspiration from the aromatic contrasts associated with Thai cuisine.
Organic green tea provides a light, fresh foundation. Lemongrass brings citrus brightness, coconut adds creamy tropical character, ginger contributes gentle warmth, and vanilla rounds the edges with a soft sweetness. Together, they create a cup that feels simultaneously fresh, creamy, aromatic, and lightly spiced.
The coconut and vanilla may suggest dessert at first, but lemongrass and ginger keep the blend lively and more complex. It is a particularly interesting choice for customers who want a flavored green tea that is tropical without being overtly fruity and sweet without tasting candy-like.

How to Brew
Use approximately 1 heaping teaspoon per 8 oz / 237 ml of water at 175°F / 80°C. Steep for 2–3 minutes. We recommend starting at 2 minutes. A gentler temperature and shorter infusion allow the green-tea base and lemongrass to remain fresh while keeping the coconut and vanilla balanced. For iced tea, brew slightly stronger before pouring over plenty of ice.
Perfect For
Bangkok Blend is particularly appealing for flavored-green-tea drinkers, coconut lovers, adventurous tea drinkers, and anyone who enjoys the interplay of citrus, creaminess, and spice found in Southeast Asian-inspired flavors. Pair it with Thai or Southeast Asian dishes, coconut desserts, mango, rice dishes, mild curries, grilled seafood, shortbread, or vanilla pastries.
A Flavored Green Tea That Thinks Savory
Many flavored green teas follow a familiar formula: green tea plus sweet fruit or flowers. Bangkok Blend is more interesting because its ingredients pull the palate in several directions:
-
Lemongrass → bright, citrusy and herbaceous
-
Ginger → warm and gently spicy
-
Coconut → rich, creamy and tropical
-
Vanilla → soft, aromatic sweetness
-
Green tea → fresh vegetal structure
The important part isn't any one ingredient. It's the contrast between them. Coconut and vanilla provide richness, while lemongrass cuts through that richness with brightness. Ginger then introduces enough spice to prevent the cup from feeling flat. That interplay is what gives Bangkok Blend its personality.
Inspired by Thailand, Not a Traditional Thai Tea
There is an important distinction between Bangkok Blend and traditional Thai tea.
This is an organic flavored green-tea blend inspired by flavors commonly associated with Thai cuisine. It should not be confused with cha yen, the well-known Thai iced tea typically made from strongly brewed black tea and served sweetened with milk.
Bangkok Blend instead uses green tea, lemongrass, coconut, ginger, and vanilla to evoke a different side of Thailand's culinary flavor palette. We prefer to describe it as Thai-inspired rather than presenting it as a traditional Thai tea recipe.
Hot vs. Iced
Bangkok Blend is worth experiencing both ways.
-
Hot: Coconut and vanilla feel rounder and creamier, while ginger provides a warming finish.
-
Iced: Lemongrass becomes especially refreshing, the green-tea base feels crisper, and the tropical character becomes more pronounced.
If you normally gravitate toward fruity iced teas, Bangkok Blend offers something different: tropical character without relying on berry, peach, or citrus-fruit flavors.
Packaging: Our loose teas are sold by the ounce and packaged in food-grade resealable bags.
