Victorian Rose Black Tea (loose leaves)

Victorian Rose Black Tea

Description:

A graceful Ceylon black tea layered with fragrant rose petals and soft floral sweetness—elegant, aromatic, and beautifully simple.

The Experience

Victorian Rose Black Tea is for tea drinkers who love the unmistakable fragrance of rose but still want to taste the tea beneath the flowers.

The blend begins with Ceylon black tea, whose medium body and gentle briskness provide a clean foundation for rose petals and natural flavors. Rose leads the aroma and carries through the cup with a soft, sweet floral character, while the black tea gives the blend enough structure to keep it from feeling overly delicate.

The result is romantic and distinctly floral, yet balanced and approachable—a lovely introduction to rose-flavored black tea and a natural choice for afternoon tea.

Tea & Ingredients

Tea Type: Flavored Black Tea
Base Tea: Ceylon Black Tea
Flavor Profile: Rose • Floral • Smooth
Ingredients: Ceylon black tea, rose petals, natural flavors
Caffeine: Yes
Body: Medium

How to Brew

Use approximately 1 heaping teaspoon per 8 oz / 237 ml of water at 212°F / 100°C. Begin with a 3-minute steep and adjust to taste.

We recommend tasting Victorian Rose straight first. A moderate steep allows the rose to remain fragrant while preserving the balance of the Ceylon tea underneath.

For a softer cup, add a small splash of milk. The combination of rose and milk can create an especially smooth, almost dessert-like impression.

Because rose petals and tea leaves differ in size and weight, gently mix the loose tea before measuring for a more balanced serving.

Perfect For

Victorian Rose is particularly lovely for afternoon tea, garden parties, bridal showers, Mother's Day, quiet reading, or simply turning an everyday cup into something a little more elegant. Pair it with shortbread, scones, vanilla cake, macarons, dark chocolate, berries, almond pastries, or delicate butter cookies.

More Than a Pretty Tea

Rose has a long history in food, fragrance, and hospitality across many cultures, which helps explain why its aroma feels simultaneously luxurious and familiar. In Victorian Rose, however, we prefer to let the sensory experience tell the story rather than make wellness claims about the flower. This is a tea to choose because you enjoy fragrance, flavor, beauty, and the ritual of a thoughtfully prepared cup.

Victorian Rose vs. Victorian Earl Grey

The names are similar, but the cups are quite different.

  • Victorian Rose Black Tea - Rose • Floral • Smooth
Best for: tea drinkers who want rose to remain the clear focus
  • Victorian Earl Grey Black Tea - Rose • Lavender • Rosemary • Bergamot
Best for: those who want a much more layered botanical tea with floral, herbal, and citrus notes

Victorian Rose is the simpler composition. Victorian Earl Grey is the more complex one. If you're discovering floral black teas for the first time, Victorian Rose is an excellent place to begin because it allows you to explore rose without too many competing flavors.

Packaging: Our loose teas are sold by the ounce and packaged in food-grade resealable bags.
