• After Each Use: Remove all used yerba mate leaves promptly. Rinse the interior with warm water and allow the gourd to dry completely in a well-ventilated area. Avoid leaving water or wet tea leaves inside the gourd for extended periods. Do not soak, microwave, or place in the dishwasher.

Clean the stainless steel bombilla separately and allow it to dry thoroughly.

How to Enjoy Yerba Mate

1. Prepare and cure your natural calabash gourd before its first use, following the care instructions provided.
2. Fill the gourd approximately halfway to two-thirds full with loose yerba mate.
3. Tilt the gourd slightly to gather the leaves toward one side.
4. Add a small amount of cool or lukewarm water to moisten the leaves.
5. Insert the bombilla into the moistened area.
6. Slowly add hot water, traditionally below boiling temperature, and sip through the bombilla.
7. Refill with hot water several times as the flavor gradually develops.
