A ceremonial 1st flush (spring harvest) Japanese green tea. Shade-grown for a few weeks, giving it a rich green color and distinct umami flavor with sweet and creamy undertones. Near the entrance to one of the Gyokuro tea farms, there is a poem that ends with the line "when my hearts thirsts I drink Gyokuro."
