Hyde Park Shop Relocation Announcement

Dear Valued Customers,

In light of the recent Hyde Park development plan announcement, we will relocate our Hyde Park shop to a new space in the summer of 2025! While this news comes with mixed emotions, we assure you that we’re committed to make this transition as smooth as possible for you, our customers.

We plan to close our Hyde Park Square shop in mid to late spring, timing depending on the Hyde Park Square development project progress and the flexibility our landlord PLK grants us to remain open. To learn more about the development project of Hyde Park Square, you can visit three websites listed at the bottom of this letter.

Running a small business comes with unique challenges. The early termination of our lease came just as we were gearing up for 2024 holiday season, so I made a decision to focus on celebrating the holidays with you and continuing to serve you with the joy and spirit that makes this season so special.

We hope you had a great holiday season, and you’ve had the chance to enjoy our new teas and holiday gifts that we carefully curated for your celebrations. Now, it’s time for us to focus on the next chapter as we prepare for relocation in 2025.

At this time, we are yet to confirm the exact location of our new space, but rest assured that we’re working hard to minimize disruptions in serving you. Our Hyde Park square shop will remain open until spring 2025, and we invite you to visit us and stock up on your favorite teas before we close down this store. After that, our Findlay Market location and our online shop will continue to serve you. We expect to have our new location open for in-store shopping in the summer of 2025.

I am thankful for our strong tea community whom sees Churchill's as your happy place. I am also grateful for your understanding of our logistical and financial challenges during this unexpected time of transition. Many of you may ask, "How can I help?" There are several ways you can offer tangible support as we navigate the upcoming relocation: 

1) Sign up for our newsletter (at the bottom of our website front page or in stores) and follow us on social media. We will be sharing updates on the relocation timeline, new offerings, and how to stock up your tea during our transition and relocation.

2) Stock up one to three months supply of your favorite teas with us before Spring 2025. 

3) Visit our Findlay Market shop (122 W Elder St) during the transition period - once Hyde Park location is closed down and before our new location opens.

4) Spread the word about our relocation and help others in the tea community to find us at our new location. 

5) Choose and purchase our Sip & Support Collection items to proudly display your support of Churchill's and encourage us as we overcome the challenges and move to the new location. 

We deeply appreciate your ongoing support during this time of change, and we are thankful we can continue serving you with a cup of tea at our Findlay Market location, online, and our new home in summer 2025.
