This sweet, buttery, and full-bodied tea is grown in the Fujian Province in China. It is hand-processed each spring, carefully plucking only one leaf and one bud. The leaves are curly, wiry, and well-twisted with a high percentage of the prized golden tips. Golden Monkey is also referred to as Jin Hou.
Ingredients: black tea.
Kathleen says "Golden Monkey Imperial Black Tea is an exceptional Chinese black tea. Legend has it the name comes from its unique appearance because the leaves are said to resemble monkey paws".
Packaging: Our loose teas are sold by the ounce and are packaged in food-grade resealable bags.
